Research Conferences need to help us to make use of our rapidly expanding higher education systems to eradicate poverty, to harness the fruits of Science and Technologies and Innovations for our National Growth. This can be achieved when quality Education is provided in the expected Manner.

Today, May 12, 2018 RVU Successfully conducted a research conference under a grand theme, “The role of Culture, Quality Education and Technology generation for sustainable development” in the presence of Professor Mr. Tamirat Mota, Deputy Director General of HERQA, and Dr Abera Deressa, Board Chairman of the university.  The program brings together high scholars, key researchers from various higher learning institutions and other stakeholders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Today, May 12, 2018 RVU Successfully conducted a research conference under a grand theme, “The role of Culture, Quality Education and Technology generation for sustainable development” in the presence of Professor Mr. Tamirat Mota, Deputy Director General of HERQA, and Dr Abera Deressa, Board Chairman of the university.

The program brings together high scholars, key researchers from various higher learning institutions and other stakeholders.

Mr. Tamirat, said that, “We have full information, From all private Educational Institutions of more than 130,  of current RVU top management, that have well known scholars, researchers like Dr. Abera Deressa (Well known Researcher in our country) and many more professors. So, under this leadership a lots of changes have expected in the University. For these changes to happen, he said, all mainly the academic staff needs to participate actively.”

His Office, he said, firmly stands to address challenges faced, especially in Private University so that they would not hamper their contribution to the national growth, Mr. Tamirat noted.

Prof. Derebssa Dufera, President of RVU in his part said that the 10th annual research conference is believed to assemble researchers and scholars across the nation. Such workshops, he further said, will help the academia to make networks and communicate their research outputs, achievements and challenges.

Prof. Derebssa quoted that “Once up on a time, one reporter asked the USA president, if there is a problem in their country. The President replied that, the 1st problem is Quality Education, the 2nd problem is Quality Education and the 3rd problem is the Quality of Education.” The same is true here in our country too.

The Prof. underlined that, Quality education toward sustainable development of our country is must, and we have to move very fast as a rocket to move with the rest world.

Dr. Abera Deressa, Chairman of RVU in his part said that the 10th annual research conference is believed to assemble researchers and scholars across the nation.

 

Dr Abera, explained the detail about quality of education to be delivered, specifically in private institution.

 

Generally, more than 10 different research papers from different parts of our country are presented and the session was very interesting and amazing. Among that,

Dr Gemmechu Megersa – Prominent Oromo Scholar was presented very detailed paper, Dr Wondemu and Others are among the top presenters. After every presentation, time is allotted for discussion.

 


RVU will continue to organize such events since they capitalize on our strength and reflects the role of diverse research activities that focus on culture of our society, science and technology, Dr. Tedesse Berisso, V/President for Academic said, at closing session.
