In-house Research Conference at Gotera Campus.
Five Rift Valley University clustered campuses, namely Labu, Kality,Galan, Lancha and Gotera campuses have jointly conducted the 1st in house research on June 29,2019 under the theme “The Role of Quality Education for Sustainable Development “.
The five RVU campus academic community, invited guests from Head Office and other stakeholders were in attendance. Ato Alemayehu Garumsa , Gotera Campus Dean made the welcome speech and invited Dr.Abebe Gemech, RVU Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer to make opening remarks .Dr. Abebe reminded the participants in addition to teaching and learning activities engaging in the research work is essential for personal and institutional growth, and informed them that best practices were drawn from the previous research work that would enable RVU to reconsider the establishment of clusters so as to make them more effective and productive. He congratulate the cluster campuses for organizing well-coordinated activities and declared the official opening of the research.
Five research papers were presented on Cross Sectorial Issues. The participants benefited from the presentation and the discussions made afterwards. It was inspirational intellectual exercise for the postgraduate student, staff members and stakeholders.
The closing remark was made by Dr.Taddese Bariso, RVU Vice President for Academic Affairs. He mentioned that research and publication are among the three pillars in addition to teaching-learning and community Service. He congratulate the cluster campuses and presenters for taking part in the wonderful intellectual exercise and encouraged them to do more. The pictures depicted below were taken during the conference.
